It is in the best interests of Canadian farm families that the world come to an agreement that would liberalize agriculture trade.

Grains and oilseed producers must obtain the following three key concessions from our trading partners:
  • Significant increases in market access for grains, oilseed, and their value added products;
  • The elimination of export subsidies; and
  • Significant reductions in distorting domestic support

National Branding Strategy for the Food and Agriculture Sector

The Canada Brand strategy to raise the international profile of Canadian food and agriculture products is being implemented by the federal and provincial governments, in cooperation with the food and agriculture sector.

The Canada Brand is designed to foster increased demand by nurturing and capitalizing on the positive perceptions of Canada held by buyers and consumers in key markets. In today’s highly competitive global marketplace, Canada’s positive image abroad is a good place to start differentiating our products from the competition.

Further information about the branding initiative can be found at www.brandcanada.agr.gc.ca.
