Grain Growers of Canada Appoints New Public Affairs Manager
OTTAWA, October 27, 2014 – The Grain Growers of Canada today announced the appointment of Lindsey Ehman as the organization’s Public Affairs Manager located in Ottawa.
“We are pleased to have Lindsey on board as the Public Affairs Manager,” said Bryan Rogers, Executive Director of the Grain Growers. “Lindsey’s skills and experience in member-based associations means we can better serve our membership and further our mandate as an organization.”
Lindsey grew up outside Ottawa and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University in Peterborough, Ont. Prior to joining the Grain Growers of Canada Lindsey held positions with two major national trade associations.
Lindsey will be working to advance the goals of Canada’s grain farmers as the lead on communications efforts and will be the main point of contact for media inquiries.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to work directly on behalf of farmers and agriculture in Canada,” said Lindsey Ehman. “Canada’s grain industry touches on every part of our lives and I believe that a globally competitive farming industry is key to a strong Canada.”
The Grain Growers of Canada provides a strong national voice for over 50,000 active and successful grain, oilseed and pulse producers through its 14 provincial and regional grower groups, representing wheat, durum, barley, canola, oat, corn, soybean, pea, lentil, rye, and triticale farmers from across Canada. Our mission and mandate is to pursue a policy environment that maximizes global competitiveness and to influence federal policy on behalf of independent Canadian grain farmers and their associations.
