Planting Forage for Honey Bees in Canada

There has been a great deal of discussion lately about the health of honey bees in Canada. As a member for the National Bee Health Roundtable, GGC is proud to work with industry and government stakeholders to find solutions and ensure the ongoing success of our honey bee population.

Across the country grain farmers and beekeepers have always enjoyed an important symbiotic relationship – crops require pollination and bees require nutrition.

To further empower farmers, land managers and gardeners to provide added forage for honey bees and native bees, the Bee Health Roundtable has partnered with Pollinator Partnership to produce a forage guide. This document contains key information as well as an extensive list of suggested native and non-invasive plants based on planting regions.
